Fayetteville police say 18-year-old Harryson Anderson of Spring Lake was shot during a house party on Graystone Road and later died at the hospital. Detectives are asking witnesses to come forward with videos, photos, and tips.
According to the Fayetteville Police Department, officers were called to the 1500 block of Graystone Road at about 1:27 a.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2026, after reports of a shooting at a residence where a party was taking place. When officers and EMS got to the home, they found one person suffering from gunshot wounds.Â
Police later said the victim was Harryson Anderson, an 18-year-old Black male. His family has been notified. Investigators say the party scene turned violent after some kind of altercation broke out, shots were fired, and Anderson was hit. He later died from his injuries at about 4:05 a.m., turning the case into a homicide investigation.
Detectives are specifically asking anyone who attended the party, recognized Harryson Anderson, or has photos, videos, or information from before, during, or after the shooting to step up. Investigators are also asking partygoers to upload any footage that could help them track the timeline of what led to the gunfire.
The Fayetteville Police Department has described the shooting as an isolated but active investigation, meaning they do not currently believe it was a random attack, but they are still actively working to identify exactly who was involved and why the violence erupted.
