Josh Harrington Loses his Rowan County commissioner primary in humiliating fashion.

Rowan County voters said “not today” to a controversial candidate after a local political hopeful who reshared a racist meme targeting former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama just took a major L at the ballot box Tuesday.

Josh Harrington — who once shared a hateful meme portraying the Obamas as apes that had been shared by Donald Trump — has officially lost his bid for Rowan County Commissioner, and the numbers are not pretty.

According to election results, Harrington pulled in just 1,848 votes in the primary race.

Meanwhile, his father Tim Harrington, who was running for Rowan County Sheriff, didn’t fare much better — finishing with only 811 votes.

In other words… Rowan County voters shut that whole situation down.

Harrington is also currently facing criminal charges, accused of stalking a female Mooresville police officer.

“The Chains Are Off” — Harrington Goes Off After Losing

After the loss, Harrington posted a video sounding off about how he had allegedly been holding his tongue during the campaign.

According to Harrington, he claimed he had been limiting what he said publicly for about a year and a half while trying to win office.

Now that the race is over, he says those restrictions are gone.

“The chains are off of me and I’m no longer bound to a higher standard,” Harrington said in the video.

At one point in the clip, Harrington turned to his wife and asked if they had “any f*s left to give.”**

Her answer?

“No more f***s to give.”

Harrington then doubled down, telling critics to — in his words:

“Say stupid comments and you can kiss my whole a*s — not just a little bit of it. Get up in that hole and kiss it, because that’s where we are now.”
