The Jacksonville coffee shop has gone viral after a dispute between customers and management.

What should have been a laid-back coffee run on Henderson Drive has now snowballed into a local social media controversy.

The drama first exploded after Sakinah Szade took to Facebook and blasted the business over what she described as an ugly encounter inside the shop. In her now-circulating post, Szade accused the manager, identified as Angel Flynn, of refusing to fix a drink, refusing to refund it, telling them to “get the f*** out,” and calling the police after they complained.

According to Szade, the issue began when her drink was allegedly made wrong. She claimed that after politely raising the concern, staff would not remake it and instead offered to simply scoop foam off the top as a compromise. Szade said the situation quickly became hostile, ending with the manager allegedly cursing them out and calling law enforcement over the dispute.

As the post started spreading, 910 Coffee Co. fired back with a public statement denying the customers’ version of events. The business said the claims were “false and defamatory” and insisted it had surveillance footage showing the full interaction and proving the online narrative was inaccurate.

The shop also demanded the post be removed and warned that if it stayed up, it would pursue formal defamation action and release video footage to “correct the narrative.”

910 Coffee Co. denied the customer allegations and threatened possible defamation action.

But instead of shutting the backlash down, that response appears to have made the situation even messier.

The business reportedly posted surveillance footage connected to the encounter, but online viewers did not seem persuaded that it helped the shop’s case. In fact, the controversy only intensified, and social media users began dragging the business even harder.

In a TikTok video, user Iymairaa (@iymairaa), along with the friend seen with her in the surveillance video, gave a much more detailed version of what allegedly happened inside the shop.

According to the customer, the outing was supposed to be a peaceful coffee date with family before her mother’s trip to Africa. But things allegedly started going left during the ordering process when her sister felt interrupted by staff and stepped away, leaving the friends to finish the order for her.

The central issue, according to the customer, was a customized cortado. She said they specifically asked for two shots of espresso, lavender flavoring, and only a splash of almond milk. But the customer claims there was confusion at the register, and before they could fully explain what they wanted, Flynn allegedly stepped in and cut them off.

The woman said Flynn repeatedly insisted staff already knew how to make a cortado and did not appear interested in hearing the customization request all the way through.

When the drink came out, the customer said it was not made the way they asked for. Instead of just a splash of almond milk, she claimed it was filled much higher than expected, which she said defeated the point of the custom order.

The group then returned to the counter and asked for the drink to be remade, but according to their account, Flynn refused. The customer said the manager kept defending the drink as correctly made and even pulled out a paper showing the standard cortado ratio. The issue, the customer said, was never about the standard recipe. It was about wanting the drink made the way they requested it.

Things allegedly got more tense when Flynn offered only to scoop the foam off the top instead of remaking the drink. The customers say they stayed calm, but the tone of the exchange kept getting more passive-aggressive, especially after they mentioned they would leave a review and not return.

Surveillance footage posted by the business became part of the viral online controversy.

According to the customer’s TikTok account, Flynn allegedly snapped and said, “You can get the f* out of my coffee shop, because I’m the manager.”

The customer said she then asked for a refund because of the disrespect and the unresolved drink issue, but claims Flynn still refused.

The customer also alleged that Flynn threatened to call police and appeared to get on the phone in a way that made it seem like she was contacting 911.

In a follow-up TikTok, the customer shared what she described as receipts, including a message allegedly sent by Flynn after the incident. In that message, Flynn appeared to acknowledge that the confrontation went too far and apologized for her role in how it unfolded.

“I apologize for my wrong doings,” Flynn allegedly wrote. “I truly did not want it to go as far as it did.”

She also reportedly admitted that pride played a role in her refusal to remake the drink for free, saying she believed she had made it correctly. At the same time, Flynn allegedly maintained that the drink was prepared according to coffee shop standards and suggested the disagreement may have come down to differences in how customers interpret specialty drink terms versus how local coffee shops make them.

Still, Flynn reportedly conceded that a refund likely would have been the better move and may have prevented the entire meltdown.

“A refund obviously would have been better than the incident that took place,” the message stated.

The alleged apology message also addressed online accusations of racism, which Flynn denied. She reportedly said she is not racist and claimed she was trying to protect the shop, staff, and customers. She also referenced a separate incident involving teenagers and police, insisting that matter had nothing to do with race.

As for threatening to call law enforcement during the coffee dispute, Flynn allegedly said she felt the situation was escalating and believed authorities were needed to de-escalate it. She also mentioned being pregnant and said the confrontation added to her stress in the moment.

In another surprising detail, Flynn allegedly claimed that a refund had in fact been issued after the incident, but there was confusion because the purchase had been made with cash. According to the message, the money was supposedly sitting in a bag at the shop with a barista.

Flynn also allegedly offered to meet in person and talk things through respectfully, telling the customer she would be on her “best behavior.”

The message ended with Flynn acknowledging that both sides walked away feeling mistreated.
