37-year-old woman arrested for stabbing murder of 17-year-old Houston, Texas girl
Police in Houston, Texas have arrested a 37-year-old woman who is accused of fatally stabbing a 17-year-old mother over a purse.
The stabbing occurred near the Galleria over the weekend, according to Houston Police Chief Troy Finner.

On Wednesday morning, Chief Finner announced the arrest of 37-year-old Kaysone Sky Blossom.
She has been charged with capital murder for the repeated stabbing of 17-year-old Kayla Stevenson to death.
Deadly stabbing on on W. Alabama Street near Sage Road
According to the police, Stevenson was being robbed by Blossom on W. Alabama Street near Sage Road around 11:10 a.m. on Saturday. Police said a sergeant working an additional shift was flagged down by a citizen who reported that two women were fighting over a purse.
Police said Blossom took a pink Juicy couture purse with hearts and a rhinestone “JC” logo on it.
When the sergeant arrived at the scene, Stevenson was discovered on the sidewalk with multiple stab wounds, deceased.Paramedics later pronounced her dead at the scene.

Houston police said Stevenson was on her way to work at a store inside the Galleria when she was robbed and killed.
Stevenson’s mother told local reporters that Stevenson is survived by a 6-month-old baby girl.
