On’Teds Je’ Ray Harris was only 17-years-old with a bright future ahead of him. The Greenville, North Carolina community knew him as a superstar on the football field and basketball court at North Pitt High School.
Harris’s life was taken away from him Sunday after Greenville Police say they found Harris shot in the doorway around 10:00 a.m. at the Baymont Inn on Memorial Drive. He transported to Vidant Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
Greenville Police say they have been following up on strong leads and believe the fatal shooting to be an isolated incident.
The investigation remains active.
