13-Year-Old Girl Killed in Goldsboro as Teen Suspects Face Murder Charges
GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Just days before Christmas, a 13-year-old girl was shot and killed Sunday afternoon at the Alpha Arms Apartments.
According to Goldsboro police, officers rushed to the scene around 4:35 p.m. after reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a 13-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite emergency efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Family members identified the victim on social media as Jaleeyah Tune, affectionately known as “Lee Lee.”
Authorities say three teens have now been arrested in connection with the deadly shooting — one 15-year-old and two 16-year-olds. All three are facing first-degree murder charges, along with felony conspiracy.
