Canadian rapper Tory Lanez stabbed in prison—after the 32-year-old artist, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was reportedly attacked at theCalifornia Correctional Institution in Tehachapi on Monday morning, according to TMZ.

According to law enforcement sources, Tory Lanez was stabbed in the face multiple times by another inmate during an altercation in the prison yard. The extent of the injuries, while not life-threatening, were serious enough to send Lanez to the hospital. He was rushed to a hospital in Bakersfield by ambulance, where his current condition has not been officially disclosed.
Tory Lanez is currently serving a 10-year sentence following his conviction in the 2020 shooting of rapper Megan Thee Stallion. The motive behind the prison stabbing remains under investigation, with correctional officers reportedly working to identify the assailant and assess whether additional security measures need to be implemented.
The California Department of Corrections has yet to issue a full statement, but sources indicate an internal investigation is underway to determine what led to the violent confrontation.
