North Carolina pastor dentures fall out during a Resurrection Sunday service in Dunn, but she keeps preaching .
DUNN, N.C. – The devil definitely tried it, but this North Carolina assistant pastor said NOT TODAY.
An assistant pastor out of Dunn, North Carolina had a moment during a Resurrection Sunday church service that took an unexpected — and hilarious — turn while she was preaching a powerful message.
During a live service centered around “The 7 Last Words of Jesus Christ,” Assistant Pastor Rita Clayton was preparing to tune up and take the congregation higher… but her dentures had other plans.
Right in the middle of preaching, Clayton’s top dentures started coming loose — and instead of panicking, she fought through it, trying everything she could to keep them in place while continuing her message.
But them dentures was not cooperating.
After a brief struggle, Clayton made the decision to go ahead and remove them altogether — right there in front of the entire church.
The congregation burst into laughter as Clayton paused after taking her dentures out, but here’s where she turned it into a WORD.
Without missing a tune, Clayton used the moment to preach even harder, telling the congregation:
“See, because ain’t nothing got no business holding you from serving God.”
Instead of letting the situation shake her, Clayton leaned all the way in and continued preaching with confidence, proving that not even a dental malfunction could stop her assignment.
