Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Tarboro, North Carolina man and his girlfriend after a trafficking investigation ends in their arrest.
On Tuesday, June 6, five police agencies, Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office, Nash County Sheriff’s Office, Tarboro Police Department, and Rocky Mount Police Department, executed a search warrant at a home on Kyles Drive in Tarboro, North Carolina, according to a press release.
Police said numerous firearms, ammunition, various control substances, and money were seized after they searched the home.
34-year-old Drake Butler and his girlfriend, 25-year-old Kayla Williams both was charged with:
- 1 Count of PWISD of Schedule I Controlled Substance
- 1 Count of Felony Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance
- 1 Count of PWISD Cocaine; 1 Count of Felony Possession of Cocaine
- 1 Count of Felony Possession of Methamphetamines
- 1 Count of Trafficking Synthetic Cannabinoid
- 1 Count of PWISD Marijuana
- 1 Count of Felony Possession of Marijuana
- 1 Count of Felony Maintaining Dwelling for Controlled Substances
- 1 Count of Simple Possession of Schedule III Controlled Substance
- 1 Count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Butler is in the Edgecombe County Jail with a $1,020,000 secured bond and Williams is under a $500,000 secured bond.
