Thomas “TK” Burton Jr. from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, who had been missing since July 29, was discovered deceased in a Randolph County home last week. Beau Benjamin Martin, has been charged with concealing and failing to report Burton Jr.‘s death.
In August, Burton Jr.’s wife, Jacqueline Guzman, told The North Carolina Beat that she last saw her husband on July 29 at a Citgo gas station on N Martin Luther King Jr Drive in Wiston-Salem, where she picked up money from him to pay bills. A few hours later, she received a text from Burton Jr. around 4:24 p.m., stating he was with Jaekob, the last person she believed he was with.
An hour later, at approximately 5:26 p.m., Jacqueline received a phone call from Burton Jr., during which he whispered that he was scared. He continued to express his fear before the call abruptly ended.
“He was whispering, telling me that he was scared… he literally said, ‘I’m so scared, I’m so f***ing scared, Jacqueline, I’m so scared right now,’” Jacqueline recalled her husband saying to her.

The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office discovered Burton Jr.‘s remains last week while investigating his disappearance, following a request for assistance from the Winston-Salem Police Department.
Jacqueline expressed her disappointment on Facebook that the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office did not contact her to inform her of the discovery of her husband‘s remains.
