Jzaria Crank, a 14-year-old girl from Gastonia, North Carolina, who ran away on Halloween, was located on Tuesday afternoon. Rumor has it that she was allegedly with a 34-year-old man.
A video sent anonymously to The North Carolina Beat, shows the man purportedly linked to Jzaria Crank standing outside an Bella Vista apartment in Gastonia. The woman behind the camera is believed to be Jzaria’s mother, known as ‘Lexz DaGoat’ on Facebook. We confirmed her voice from a previous video shared on her Facebook.
In the footage, Jzaria’s mother can be heard expressing her frustration, saying, “Somebody done seen this shit. This shit been all over…somebody done seen this shit,” referring to the widespread social media posts about her daughter’s disappearance.
In the now-deleted video, Jzaria’s mother claims that Jzaria had been telling people she was living with her uncle. A man, who is supposed to have been her “uncle” with a black hoodie and blue shorts, is heard saying he told Jzaria to “go home.”
“Why didn’t you call the police if you know this little girl underage,” Jazaria mother asked the man. The man says he was unaware of Jzaria’s age.
It seems Lexz is more focused on blaming the man than checking her own parenting and the choices of her daughter, who seems to be wanting to be for the streets at a young age, if true. We can also understand why Lexz isn’t focused on parenting; she is reportedly selling herself on a site called Escort Babylon for $100, as indicated by a profile featuring her photo on the site.
As the video continues, the man attempts to clarify the situation, but Jzaria’s mother continues to raise her voice over him.
We also learned from the video that this isn’t Jzaria’s first runaway story. Her mother reveals that she had previously run away to the same man’s residence.
“Man…this is where she ran away to the first got damn time,” Lexz claims.
She mentions hearing that her daughter claimed to be with an uncle who wears glasses. After tracking down the man’s address, Lexz waited outside his home. When the man came outside and went back in, she said she noticed the glasses and went to knock on the door. The video ended so we couldn’t hear what else Lexz had to say – and on top of that, she deleted the video.
It seems like it may not have been Gastonia Police Department that waited 12 days to report this child missing
But the good news is, she has been found.
