Baltimore County police are investigating a chilling case in which a mother, 34-year-old Keyona Dillon allegedly killed her 11-year-old daughter in their Maryland home after she thought the child was sleeping with her other three children’s father.
Dillon has been charged with first-degree murder following the death of her daughter, London Olsen. A judge has ordered a mental health evaluation for Dillon as disturbing details of the case emerge.
Cardiac Arrest Call Leads to Gruesome Discovery
Authorities were alerted on Thursday, January 23, 2025, when a neighbor called 911, reporting that a child in the neighboring home was dead. According to court documents obtained by local news outlet 11 News, the neighbor stated that someone from the home had come to her home to inform her of the situation.
Police arrived at the scene in the 2100 block of Firethorn Road in Middle River to find London’s lifeless body in the basement.
Investigators noted signs of trauma, including bruises on her neck and arms, as well as blood around her mouth, nose, and hands. Her shirt was reportedly pulled down, exposing her upper body. Nearby, detectives found a plastic drain cleaner, which they believe was used to strangle her.
Erratic Behavior and Shocking Allegations
When taken into custody, Dillon exhibited erratic behavior, claiming that she was being “set up” by groups of people. She made references to exposing child sex rings, transsexuals, and the Proud Boys, according to the court documents.
Three other children were inside the home at the time of the incident but were unharmed. However, they reported witnessing Dillon kill the family’s pets—a hammer and her knee were allegedly used to kill two cats, a rabbit, and a dog. Police later discovered the animals’ remains in a plastic bin and the kitchen trash.
Claims of Abuse Unfounded
The charging documents reveal that Dillon accused her daughter London of being involved in a relationship with the children’s father. However, detectives found no evidence of sexual abuse or any inappropriate relationship during their investigation.
One of the children told investigators they witnessed Dillon choking London in the basement. Dillon reportedly claimed she was performing CPR and that the child must have misunderstood her actions.
Courtroom Outburst and Mental Health Concerns
At her bail hearing on Friday, Dillon requested to represent herself in court, stating.
“I’M REPRESENTING MYSELF. Y’ALL VIOLATED MY RIGHTS. I AM AN INDIGENOUS SOVEREIGN OF THE LAND. YOU COLLECTED DNA WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.”
Despite the judge’s attempt to assign her a public defender, Dillon insisted on representing herself. She remains held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center, pending a mental health evaluation.
