Former Northwoods Park Middle Teacher Manley Moore Arrested

A former teacher and youth pastor from Richlands, North Carolina has been arrested following a serious investigation.

36-year-old Manley Moore, once a teacher at Northwoods Park Middle School in Jacksonville was arrested this morning (October 30, 2025) by the Jacksonville Police Department backed by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NC SBI) and the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office.

Moore is charged with four counts of Indecent Liberties with a Child and is currently held on an $80,000 secured bond.

According to a press release, on August 16, 2025, Jacksonville PD received information that Moore had been sending inappropriate text messages to a juvenile. That tip triggered a full-blown investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies.

A mother told us that beginning summer 2025, Moore messaged her 14-year-old daughter who was his former student via TikTok and private messaging.

The language allegedly included flirtatious and inappropriate remarks such as “Baddie,” “Thanks for keeping me company last night,” and “Girl put your tongue in your mouth.” He allegedly instructed the child to delete message threads. The mother of the girl found 22 screenshots of the exchanges and alerted law enforcement.

On October 28, we reported that law enforcement executed a search warrant at a Sweet Gum Lane home in Richlands connected to Moore.

Moore has a first court appearance scheduled for Friday, October 31, in Onslow County District Court.
