The incident went down on Saturday afternoon at approximately 1:35 p.m., when Raleigh police responded to reports of multiple gunshots in the Macy’s parking deck located behind the mall on Creedmoor Road, according to ABC11. Â Lively characterized the shooting as a consequence of a confrontation between rival gangs, referring to it as a “cowboy-style gunfight.”
“He put the safety of all the residents of Wake County at great risk basically with a cowboy-style gunfight at Crabtree Mall, “Lively stated in court.
Following the exchange of gunfire between the gangs, one suspect fled the scene, hitting another vehicle before continuing to drive away.Â
