Daycare Owner of Little Life Changers in Raleigh Arrested

Little Life Changers Daycare

The owner of a local Raleigh daycare has been thrown into the hot seat after disturbing allegations involving child abuse went viral — and now, she has been charged.

Belinda Marie McKissick, 52, the owner of Little Life Changers Daycare, has been arrested and charged with three counts of failing to report crimes against a juvenile, according to warrants.

This comes just months after a Facebook post from a woman named MiMi Symone shocked the community–followed up by a story here on The North Carolina Beat.

Belinda McKissick, the 52-year-old owner of Little Life Changers Daycare in Raleigh, is now in jail after being hit with multiple charges for failing to report child abuse.

Back in July, MiMi Symone took to Facebook with explosive video clips, claiming her child had been “sexually f*ing abused**” while in the care of Little Life Changers Daycare.

No charges have been filed regarding MiMi’s claims, and she has since deleted her post.

The clips allegedly showed one of McKissick’s children inappropriately holding a baby — and a photo showed a sex toy being waved in a child’s face – but we will not include that photo in this story – among other things happening inside the daycare.

According to arrest documents, McKissick failed to report incidents involving at least three different children to law enforcement.

The date of offense listed on police records goes back to May 26, 2022, indicating that these allegations may have been buried for over a year before coming to light publicly.

She is currently being held at Wake County Jail on a $5,000 secured bond.

ANOTHER LITTLE LIFE CHANGERS DAYCARE EMPLOYEE ALSO CHARGED

But McKissick wasn’t the only one caught in the storm.

Authorities also arrested Takayla Marie Blackmon, 23, who is believed to have worked at the daycare. She faces one count of failing to report crimes against a juvenile and reportedly turned herself in on Friday, September 26.

23-year-old Takayla Blackmon, who worked at a Raleigh daycare, turned herself in after being charged with not reporting child abuse. She’s out on bond.

Blackmon received a $2,000 secured bond and has since bonded out.

For Blackmon, the date of offense listed on her warrant is from September 18, 2024.

Sources tell The North Carolina Beat more arrests are expected.
