A teacher assistant at Banks Elementary School in Kinston, North Carolina, is facing serious charges following an alleged assault on a young student under the age of 12.
Authorities say the incident occurred on October 30 and involved Sherrinita Caldwell, 45, who has since resigned from her role at the school.
