According to a recent federal alert shared with law enforcement agencies in California, investigators are monitoring intelligence suggesting Iran may have considered launching drone strikes against targets on the West Coast if the United States carried out military action against the country.
The warning, circulated to police departments late last month, reportedly stated that intelligence gathered earlier this year suggested Iran had explored the idea of deploying unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from a vessel positioned somewhere off the U.S. coastline.
Officials say the alleged plan involved launching drones toward unspecified locations in California, though authorities emphasized they currently have no confirmed targets, timeline, or operational details tied to the possible threat.
