A 35-year-old man named Justin Henderson has been arrested for the murder of a 26-year-old pregnant woman from Greenville, North Carolina. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office shared Henderson’s mugshot and revealed that he is facing charges of second-degree murder, abuse of a dead human body, and tampering with evidence in connection to the death of Quintasha Ross.
According to a family member, Ross was tragically dismembered, a fact corroborated by a man named Tan Jones on social media who filmed the scene from the rear of the home and described where parts of Ross’s body were found.Â
In the background of the video, a man can be heard informing a woman that his child’s mother (Quintasha Ross)Â had been “chopped up” and put in “the ground.”
According to FirstCoastNews, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 300 block of West 41st Street at approximately 4:29 p.m. on Monday for a wellness check. During the investigation, Sgt. Reed of the Jacksonville, Florida sheriff’s office confirmed that “a deceased person was located on the property.”
As per a report from ActionNewsJax, a reliable source shared details from a police report indicating that Ross had been shot and stabbed in the head, then callously discarded in a trash can along with her belongings outside the residence.
The report also mentioned that blood traces were found all over the house and on a knife, and a hole was discovered that seemed to be dug for a human body. News4Jax added that when law enforcement arrived at the scene, they conversed with Henderson regarding the victim. Allegedly, Henderson claimed to know Ross but clarified that she did not reside with him.
Henderson informed the police that he hadn’t seen Ross for a couple of weeks, as per News4Jax. Although Henderson permitted officers to search his home, no other individuals were spotted inside, and no suspicious smells were detected, prompting the officers to file a report and depart.
Jones mentioned in his video that Ross’s upper body was covered with a blanket.
During the video, Jones mentioned that on Sunday, when he entered the yard of the house, he could smell the smell and that the suspect, now identified as Henderson had dug a hole in the backyard of the residence. Jones video was posted around 11:41 p.m, Monday night showing the active crime scene.Â
