DDG Files Motion To Stop Halle Bailey From Taking Son Halo out Of The Country

Things Are Getting Messy Between DDG and Halle Bailey

A new development has erupted in the ongoing custody battle between rapper DDG (Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) and singer-actress Halle Bailey, and it’s got social media buzzing. On June 4, 2025, Darryl filed an emergency motion in court to stop Bailey from taking their 17-month-old son, Halo, out of the country—specifically on a planned trip to Italy.

In the court docs, Darryl claims Bailey poses an “imminent emotional and psychological risk” to their son. He alleges several alarming incidents, including one where Bailey allegedly took his gun without telling him and was found holding it outside while pregnant. He also pointed to text messages from Bailey that he interpreted as threats of self-harm and possible danger to Halo.

DDG also added a photo where he alleges that Bailey at one point stabbed him.

Halle Fights Back with Abuse Allegations

This motion comes after Bailey was previously granted sole legal and physical custody of Halo and a restraining order against Darryl, alleging he was abusive. In her own filings, Bailey claimed Darryl slammed her face into a steering wheel, causing a chipped tooth, among other disturbing accusations of physical and emotional abuse.

Bailey says she’s afraid Darryl could abduct their son, referencing past threats where he allegedly said he’d take Halo without her permission. She’s also asked the court to block Darryl from getting travel documents for Halo or removing him from Los Angeles County.

Court Showdown Coming

A court hearing is set for later this week to determine whether Bailey will be allowed to travel internationally with Halo. With accusations flying on both sides, the judge will now have to decide what’s in the best interest of the child.
