(Raleigh, North Carolina)– A Raleigh, North Carolina daycare is under fire after another toddler is abused by staff.
30-year-old Alexis Mahan and Kara DeSerio was charged with misdemeanor assault on a child.
According to warrants, Mahan is accused of “grabbing the child by the arms, picking them up and forcefully thrusting them to the ground.”
DeSerio is accused of “grabbing the child from a prone position by the arms and holding them up by the arms for about three seconds in that position,” according to warrants.
The boy wasn’t hurt in the incident, according to police.
Knightdale Police Chief Lawrence Capp said his department began investigating the abuse last month when the mother of the 2-year-old filed a complaint.
Police say the incident happened at Knightdale Station Preschool located at 710 Lighttrail drive.
This is the second case of alleged child abuse at this dangerous child daycare.
