Ahmad Paige, a 35-year-old resident of Alamance County, has been charged with embezzling $64,928.77 from 100 Black Men of Triangle East, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to mentoring Black youth in Durham and Wake Counties.
According to court documents, Paige, who previously served as an officer within the organization, allegedly committed the financial fraud in May 2024. Authorities apprehended him in Durham, and he made his initial court appearance in Wake County, where the alleged embezzlement took place.

Darrell Johnson, president of 100 Black Men of Triangle East, Inc., acknowledged the law enforcement’s diligence in handling the case. He confirmed that Paige had not been affiliated with the organization for some time and assured that the nonprofit is fully cooperating with the District Attorney’s Office and the legal process. However, Johnson declined to comment further, citing the ongoing investigation.
Paige is scheduled to appear in court again on April 3, 2025. He has since been released on a $10,000 unsecured bond, according to court records.
