Missing Lumberton 13-year-old Hania Aguilar will be laid to rest Saturday

Miss Hania Noelia Aguilar, 13, and an 8th-grade student at Lumberton Jr. will be laid to rest Saturday, Dec. 8 at 12:00 p.m.

Aguilar was kidnapped outside of her home on Nov. 5 after going outside to start a relative’s SUV before school.

Her body was found in a body of water in Robeson County about 10 miles south of Rosewood Mobile Home Park on Nov. 27.

Police say a man dressed in black with a yellow bandana over his face forced Hania into an SUV and drove off.

The SUV was found several miles south of her mobile home park.

Aguilar was born March 21, 2005, and she leaves to cherish her sweet memories; her mother, Celsa Maribel Hernandez Velasquez, father; Miguel Barrera and two sisters.

Colvin Funeral Home in Lumberton, NC have been entrusted with the family for the planned services for Aguilar.

There will be a Catholic Mass for Aguilar Friday, Dec. 7 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Francis De Sales Catholic in Lumberton, and Aguilar funeral will be held Saturday, Dec. 8 at 12:00 p.m. at Lumberton Sr. High School in Lumberton, according to Colvin Funeral Home.
