Missing 17-year-old Raleigh girl found in Durham

A missing 17-year-old Raleigh girl has been found after she was reported missing by her mother Niesha Teasley.

17-year-old Shaniah Matia Teasley went missing on April 3, 2020, according to her mother.

Raleigh activist Kerwin Pittman told The North Carolina Beat that Shaniah was found Tuesday afternoon in Durham.

She was found outside of Hometown Studios Raleigh-Durham hotel after someone spotted her and called the tip line set up for the 17-year-old.

Pittman said he was in Durham when the call came in about Shaniah. He said him and some of the family rushed to the hotel to get her.

“She look good, a little shook up,”Pittman said.
