The North Carolina Beat

High Point, North Carolina dentist license SNATCHED after 2 of her patients die

2 min read

A High Point, North Carolina dentist is being accused of killing her patients with the use of anesthesia.

It seems like 41-year-old Shawana Neopi Patterson, of Patterson Oral And Maxillofacial Surgery is really evil behind that smile of hers. I’ll tell you why in a second…

According to the North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners, Patterson gave an “excessive” amount of anesthesia to one patient who disclosed health issues that made him unfit for anesthesia outside of hospitals.

This is why I said she is evil because this patient clearly told you that they had health issues and that they were unfit for anesthesia outside of hospitals and you still continued to give them the medicine. Not only did you continue to give the patient the medicine, but once the patient turned “bluish-gray” you showed no regard, according to the Board of Dental Examiners.  You called for medical help after the patient had become unresponsive.

The patient was hospitalized, diagnosed with brain damage and later died.

Another patient also died at the hands of Patterson in a similar situation.

I’m glad Patterson’s license was revoked, and I hope the family of both patients sue her for wrongful death.
