A 29-year-old Greenville, North Carolina woman has come forward with allegations that a Lyft driver, known as Keith Combs, a former radio personality of WIKS 101.9 Kiss FM, identified as Frank Brown on the rideshare platform allegedly sexually assaulted her earlier this month.
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, told The North Carolina Beat that the incident occurred on March 2, 2025, just after 10:05 a.m., when she was picked up. A warrant has been issued for Brown. We previously reported that police needed to update the name. However, new information confirms that Brown is the correct identity of the individual widely known as Keith Combs.
According to the woman, she requested a Lyft ride to work on the morning of March 2. The assigned driver appeared on the app as Frank Brown. However, she immediately noticed that he was acting weird.
“He was looking at me funny when I got in the car,” the woman recalled.
During the ride, she said Frank asked personal questions such as whether she had children and if she was single.
“He also asked me if I wanted to go to work because he could take me somewhere and make me feel good,” she alleged.
As the ride continued, the woman claims the driver reached his hands towards her private area while driving. She said the Lyft driver had one hand on the steering wheel and the other reaching back towards her.
“He was reaching behind him, trying to touch my legs towards my private area,” she said.
Panicked and triggered by past trauma, the woman said she started crying and demanded that the driver stop the car. Halfway to work, she said he stopped the car, she got out and walked the rest of the way to work.
“It triggered me because of my past. I was molested at a young age, and this brought back everything.”
Upon arriving at work, the woman immediately called 911 and filed a police report. The North Carolina Beat has obtained a Crime Victim Information Report, confirming that the woman officially reported the alleged assault on March 2, 2025.
On Friday, March 15, the woman filed formal charges against Frank Brown.
During an independent investigation, The North Carolina Beat discovered that “Frank Brown” is actually Keith Combs, a former radio personality for 101.9 Kiss FM and a current radio host for My Power Hitz, according to his Facebook page.
Additionally, the woman provided a photo of the vehicle Brown was driving. A matching image was found on his Facebook profile, which was under the name Frank Brown.
The woman said she had never met the man before and that he was a complete stranger when she requested a ride to work through the app.
A court hearing for this case is scheduled for April 11, 2025.
The North Carolina Beat reached out to Brown for comment on Friday, March 14, but has yet to receive a response.
