The animal shelter director for Craven and Pamlico counties in North Carolina has been fired.
The firing of Elma Greene comes Friday during her probationary employment with Craven-Pamlico Animal Shelter. She was fired by Health Director Scott Harrelson Friday morning. He gave no official reason for the firing, citing personal issues.
Complaints outside of the animal shelter have complained about Greene, and even some workers quit when she was brought in back in September of 2018.
Greene feels as though she was fired for taking her job too seriously.
She was terminated without warning.
